其實別說是阿嬤了，小編也覺得自己快跟不上時代，常常看不懂現在 Z 世代的年輕人使用的詞彙。今天就跟著小編來學習一些有趣的流行英文詞彙，一起走在時代的尖端吧！
流行詞彙一把罩
clout
這個字常常出現在社群媒體上，表示某人的「影響力、名氣」，那也可以指某人在商業或政治上的影響力，例如：
Elizabeth has some real clout on social media. Undoubtedly, she is a key opinion leader!（Elizabeth 在社群媒體上很有影響力。她絕對是個關鍵意見領袖！）
It’s sad but true that Donald Trump is a politician and businessman with massive clout.（很不幸但也無可否認，川普是一位非常有影響力的政治家和商人。）
fax
當你想認同別人說的某事時，可以用 fax 「真相、事實」這個字，來表示對方說的真的太正確了。這個字來自於 facts，算是美國的俚語用法，例如：
A: Hey, this new ice cream flavor is so gross. It tastes like spoiled fish.（嘿，這新的冰淇淋口味有夠噁。吃起來像臭掉的魚。）
B: Oh, that’s straight fax.（喔，真的耶。）
這個字也常搭配 spit 「吐」這個動詞使用，spit fax 意思就是「敘說真相、事實」例如：
Tell me if this man is spitting fax.（告訴我這男的說的是不是真的。）
那我們也可以用 drop mad knowledge 表示「敘說真相、分享知識」：
Oliver is dropping some mad knowledge about Taiwan’s colonial history in front of the class.（Oliver 正在全班面前敘說台灣的殖民歷史。）
filter bubble
Filter bubble「過濾氣泡」又可以稱作 social media bubble，這個詞可以算是因為演算法、社群媒體而生的。因為演算法會根據用戶的觀看、搜尋紀錄等來提供、推薦用戶想看的內容，或和用戶立場一致的訊息等等，容易導致不同意見的人難以互相交流、溝通。
Many people are unaware of the existence of filter bubbles. They don’t realize the stories or news they read on their news feed have been carefully selected by the algorithm.（許多人沒有意識到過濾氣泡的存在。他們不了解在動態上讀到的故事或新聞是演算法仔細挑選出來的。）
swole
接下來這個字源自於形容詞 swollen「腫脹的」，是非正式的用法，意思是「超級壯的、巨巨的」，通常是用來形容那種肌肉會撐爆衣服的健身巨巨。
Did you notice that Johnny has been getting swole these days?（你有注意到 Johnny 最近變得很壯嗎？）
很壯的人拍的自拍照就可以稱作 swolfie，也就是由 swole 和 selfie 組成的字。
Don’t forget to take a swolfie after hitting the gym. Girls love it!（去完健身房後別忘了拍張壯壯的自拍照。女孩們愛死了！）
zhuzh
Zhuzh 這個字比較特別，也可以拼作 zhoosh，常搭配 up 使用，zhuzh up 表示「讓...更有趣、更有吸引力」，是來自早期英國同志圈的用語，現在被廣為使用。
The hairdresser said he would zhuzh up the customer’s hair with a perm.（理髮師說他會幫人客人燙一下，讓頭髮多點變化。）
